Comparing Taonga

Taonga is the Maori word for Treasure. We are comparing Dafu and Hena’s taonga. Dafu’s taonga is a toy dog called small dog but Hena’s taonga is a tiny book called Bhagwat Gita.

These are the similarites between Hena and Dafu’s Taonga. Both the taonga were made before we were born because our taonga were given to us from our grandparents. They are the same because they are brought from a person in our family. They both are special to our families because it reminds us about someone.

These are the differentes between Hena and Dafu’s taonga. Hena’s taonga is made of leather but Dafu’s taonga is made of fur. Hena’s Taonga has pages but Dafu’s Taonga doesn’t have pages. Dafu’s taonga is a toy but Hena’s taonga is a tiny book. Dafu’s taonga is brown, white and black but Hena’s taonga is dark red. Dafu’s dog was given to me on my 1st birthday but Hena’s was brought by her great grandpa when her dad got visa in the whole family.
Overall we think not all taongas are the same because some can be people and some can be paintings.
